Hudsy is a high-energy rock singer/songwriter who was born and raised in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada. Because of his small town upbringing his original influences were classic rock and country until going to University in 2004 where he met new friends who introduced him to the 90’s artists that affected his songwriting massively. These influences included Big Wreck, John Mayer, Tool, Incubus and Dave Matthews Band. Hudsy played shows all through University and received a Bachelor of Music (honours) from Brandon University and a Bachelor of Education. In 2013 Hudsy took to the road and played gigs in Santa Barbara, California where he was introduced to Jimmy Messina (Buffalo Springfield, Loggins and Messina) who gave him advice on songwriting and music production. Hudsy stayed on the road that year playing in California, USA and Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada. On May 14th, 2014 Hudsy was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis. It was through this trying time that Hudsy found a mission to seek joy. “Joy doesn’t search for you, you have to search for it. It’s easy to find the negatives in the world… but although it’s harder to find joy, it’s worth finding and therefore it’s worth searching for. We have to constantly be searching… we have to be Joyseekers.” In 2014 Hudsy moved to the United Kingdom and in 2015 finally made it to London. Since arriving in London, Hudsy has performed constantly; whether it be playing shows or busking in order to prepare for the promotion of his new music coming out soon. Hudsy has also recently been featured on TalkRadio with Jon Holmes where he performed and was interviewed for a large audience and was well received.
